In this introductory class, students will learn the method and benefits of Zentangle®. Zentangle® is an art form created by drawing patterns consisting of just a few strokes. Eight to ten tangles (patterns) will be taught and students will finish two tiles. Students will receive a mini kit which contains everything they need for the class. Be prepared to find increased focus, renewed creativity and lots of fun!
In this second Zentangle class students will learn eight more patterns, learn how to add another dimension through shading and explore using the patterns in Zentangle Inspired Art. They will need to bring their mini kit, all other supplies will be made available during the class.
The Zentangle® art form and method was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas and is copyrighted. Zentangle® is a registered trademark of Zentangle, Inc. Learn more at zentangle.com.
Gelli Plate Fun
Monoprinting gone wild! Once you start you can’t stop. The Gelli Plate is a gelatinous (sounds gross but totally isn’t) plate that you roll paint on. Then use stencils and patterned objects to make impressions in the paint. You pull prints off the plate like a printing press. I’ll bring lots of fun stencils and texture tools to play with and we will print on paper, cardstock and deli paper. Once we have some paper to play with I will show you what you can make with all those fun painted papers.
